How to do Disneyland the right way
Although many people use the terms “Disneyland” and “Disney World” interchangeably, let me assure you these are very different experiences. Besides the obvious fact that Disneyland is located in Anaheim, CA and Walt Disney World is located in Orlando, FL, these two parks offer very different vacation experiences. For example, Disneyland is more compact and has 2 main theme parks, while Walt Disney World is more spread out and has 4 main theme parks plus 2 water parks. I know Walt Disney World like the back of my hand, but if I am going to recommend Disneyland tours to my clients, there is a way I highly recommend going — with Adventures by Disney.
The regular Disneyland VIP tours operate similarly to Walt Disney World, where you can hire a private guide for the day for up to 10 guests. You pay hourly fee, with a minimum of 7 hours reserved, and they help make your day extra magical with less waiting, personal stories, taking photos, and more. While that is an option we can add onto your Disneyland (or Walt Disney World) vacation package, they’re not the same Disneyland tours I’m referring to here.

When to book a Disneyland tour
Because Adventures by Disney offers a more intimate guided experience, capacity is very limited. I always recommend reserving sooner rather than later to ensure we secure the availability. Similarly to booking a Walt Disney Travel Company package, there is a booking deposit due (10% of the total for Adventures by Disney packages) and the remainder is due 120 days prior to arrival. However, they have modified this for certain itineraries throughout the pandemic to provide clients more flexibility when making their decisions to travel or do a one time date adjustment.
