Frequently Ask Questions

Here are some of the most common questions we get about hiring a Disney Travel Agent

As long as we book the vacation package, we do not charge a planning fee. All of our assistance and expertise is free to you just by letting us book the same reservation you might book online yourself. If we do not book the trip and you’d still like all of the perks we provide our clients, some agents will charge a daily planning fee.

Life is stressful enough, so if you can have the assistance of a professional at no additional cost to you the real question is, why not?! We provide peace of mind to our clients by handling the booking, making recommendations, helping with planning milestones along the way (such as dining reservations, activities, final payment, online check-in and more), and sharing all of our tips before you travel.

We can help not only with your plans, but maybe things you hadn’t thought of like how you’re getting to and from the airport and renting a stroller for use during your trip. We are also here to answer all of your questions accurately. Depending on the supplier, we can also get additional perks for you, we’re notified of discounts and offers, and ensure you’re getting the best value out of your vacation!

While it doesn’t happen often (because you’re well prepared for your trip and we’ve planned for things in advance) we are always on-call, so if you have any questions or issues during your travels, please contact us. I pride myself on prompt response times when clients need to text or email during their travels. (Something you won’t get with those Costco packages!) Additionally, in a Disney Destination, the Guest Services team is going to be the fastest and most direct point of contact if there is anything you need help with while you’re there.

One example of this is a client that had their flight cancelled on their way to the airport for reasons out of anyone’s control. They decided to hop in the car and drive to Walt Disney World, so while they handled the situation with their flights, I was assisting with all of the Disney plans like adjusting the resort reservation, stroller delivery, dining reservations, and their overall vacation plans. What could have been an extremely difficult situation for this family, ended up being minimally stressful since they had me.

Yes! This is part of why I coined the term “Disney Fiduciary” because I’m always working in your best interest. When Disney releases an offer, we are notified via email and I go into the reservations of any of my clients traveling during the applicable travel window and try* to apply the offer. No need to “mention this offer” to save or keep watch yourself as I have your back!

*Due to various offer restrictions and limited availability, there is no guarantee that we can apply it to the package, but I’ll always try and ensure you have the best pricing possible.

Often, yes - we can find better deals (or the exact same pricing) as you could find on your own online - but again, you get the free expertise of working with a professional. One way of looking at it is that you’re paying for the professional assistance when you book it online yourself, you’re just not receiving any of the benefits of working with us. So in that regard you’re always getting a better deal by having us book it!

Additionally, we have access to multiple suppliers for the same resorts or cruises, so if one is running a special or offering a seasonal promotional code, we can apply those for you and compare pricing across a number of booking engines. Again, as mentioned above, for Disney and many suppliers, we are emailed with the latest offer releases, so we can apply those to existing reservations for you most of the time as well.

We can help with many aspects of your travels. The only thing we do not book are flights (too many points, companion passes, options, etc.). We can help get you to and from the airport and your destination resort/port, coordinating ECV Scooter and other special needs items, stroller rentals, pre- and post-cruise hotel stays, and more! Depending on your destination we can also help make dining reservations, activities reservations, port excursions, VIP Tours, calling in specific requests, and more!

I always say the sooner the better, because the earlier you book, the best pricing and availability you’ll receive. There is also typically no downside to booking early because we can apply offers to your existing package that may come out later on and the only thing due at time of booking is a small deposit toward the package total. Having more time also ensures that you’re not completely overwhelmed with information in a short amount of time and that we have time to plan for dining preferences, transfers, and other logistics without feeling rushed. That being said, I’ve had clients come to me last minute and within days we turn everything around and help them have a magical trip! It just requires a little more flexibility, because if you have to have a certain resort or dining reservation, it may not happen with less lead time.

The best time to visit depends on your priorities. For lower crowds and great weather, consider visiting during the off-peak months like January, February, or late September. For holiday events and seasonal celebrations, plan for the winter holiday season or Halloween.
